Job Overview:

The Box Office Representative’s main responsibilities include selling and suggesting all available ticket types to patrons entering or inside Saratoga Race Course using any applicable ticket software. Ticket types can include, but are not limited to admission, seating, dining, and premium hospitality. Additionally, the Box Office Representative will identify and troubleshoot any ticketing problems that may arise, demonstrate a helpful understanding of general track information, and always deliver exceptional customer service.

Box Office Representatives can be assigned to work covering one of the three following areas:

 Dining Sales and Support
 Premium Seating Sales
 Box Office / Will Call Booths

Essential Functions:

Assist the Manager, Ticket Sales and Sales Team with the following tasks:
• Sell, upsell, and suggest ticketing options to patrons in person and via phone/email;
• Identify and troubleshoot ticketing problems;
• Greet and welcome patrons to the track;
• Maintain and distribute will-call tickets to patrons regularly;
• Learn and use any applicable ticketing software on a daily basis;
• Demonstrate a helpful understanding of general track information;
• Deliver exceptional customer service;
• Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
Racing schedule workdays (Wednesday – Sunday) PLUS Labor Day (Monday, September 1st);
 Approximately 35 hours per week scheduled;
 Approximate shift times (depending on racing) – 10AM to 6PM;
 30-minute scheduled lunch breaks (6-hour shift minimum);
 Travers Day – 6AM report time.


Knowledge Required:

Bank Reconciliation, Written and Oral customer Service experience, Horse Racing Industry knowledge or Archtics ticketing software experience is appreciated, Proficient using all Microsoft Office

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Primarily office role, sitting at computer with some walking and standing throughout the day.

Pay Range / Salary: $18.00/hourly
