Job Overview:
Full-time opportunities exist for individuals with some general labor, maintenance or landscaping experience to work in NYRA’s maintenance department at Aqueduct Racetrack or Belmont Park. Standard work shift is 40 hours, 8 AM to 5:30 PM, work days may vary. Availability to work overtime required. Union benefits provided after the successful completion of a 90-day probationary period. Qualified candidates must have a valid Driver’s License, be 18 years of age or older and have the ability obtain a NY Gaming Commission License before employment. Must be able to work at either location. Duties include mowing, raking, general barn work/clean up, grandstand and building set up for events and other duties. A valid driver’s license is required as the individual will drive NYRA utility vehicles to cover the 400 plus acre facility.
