Job Overview:

Position: Groundskeeper
Employer: The New York Racing Association, Inc.
Employer address: 110-00 Rockaway Boulevard, Jamaica, NY 11417
Duration: Temporary, April 1, 2025 to November 30, 2025
Hours: 40 hours per week

Essential Functions:

Replace, fill divots and holes for racetrack using seed/soil mix; install portable
lightweight plastic turf rails using post pounders (large, weighted hammers) to tap the rails into place as well as long tape measures and paint to mark the area; operate zero turn, walk-behind mowers, trimmers
and turf rollers near thoroughbred horses

Qualifications:

3 months of experience required
Ability to work outside in all types of weather

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This is a physical role which takes place outdoors and involves working with mowers, weed whackers, etc.

Pay Range / Salary:  $21.87
