Job Overview:

Entry-level individual contributor who works under direct supervision. The Digital Marketing Specialist, NYRA Bets will be responsible for supporting marketing, advertising and acquisition promotional activities while enhancing the NYRA
Bets brand, KPIs and supporting “Business to Business” efforts.

Additionally, the Digital Marketing Specialist will work independently to develop, execute and analyze digital marketing campaigns with a focus on website management and personalizing, executing and evaluating customer-data-driven interactions through Optimove, and multimedia content strategy.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the NYRA Bets Marketing team with updating the marketing content on the
    website including changing advertising banners, proofing and uploading original betting
    content, owning the promotions and tv calendar, creating landing pages and other website
    duties as assigned.
  • Daily editorial publishing updates, site maintenance, campaign and promotion builds for
    NYRA Bet’s website via CMS. Improve SEO, and develop content marketing across email
    and website platforms.
  • Responsible for the daily planning, implementing and monitoring of all content on NYRA
    Bets Twitter via Hootsuite. Utilizes social media strategies, including content ideation, and
    implementation schedules for NYRA Bets to manage content.
  • Support the Marketing Manager in retention efforts by drafting weekly email newsletters
    and creating push notifications and target groups via Optimove to increase horseplayer
    engagement and activation.
  • Facilitate promotion approval with the New York Gaming Commission and the NYRA legal
    team by preparing submissions for approval.
  • Coordinate promotions with the TV departments to ensure they receive all creative and
    live talent read information for each broadcast (simulcast, America’s Day at the Races and
    Saratoga Live) to successfully promote NYRA Bets and support sponsorship promotions.
  • Creates and maintains weekly Competitor Analysis document to keep the team updated on
    the latest in horse racing gambling and sports betting trends and promotions.
  • Supports Marketing Growth Manager with the development and execution of Acquisition
    partnerships including scouting talent, coordinating meetings, and submitting contracts to
    the NYRA legal team.
  • Distributes creative assets and tracking URLS to media partners for advertising campaigns,
    working with outside agencies to ensure correct and timely media placement of
    advertisements.
  • Creates and distributes NYRA Bets Radio reads with outside vendors/partners, ensuring
    accurate and timely coverage of NYRA Bets offers in the marketplace.
  • Maintains the online Free2Play contents by crediting winners, working closely with
    customer service team resolving discrepancies and participating in weekly Chalkline
    meetings.
  • Records and collects creative performance data from Allied Global Marketing.
  • Responsible for creating and overseeing Creative Service Request Forms including
    identifying department needs, and working with Creative Services to develop collateral
    materials for various digital campaigns
  • Develop and execute engaging multimedia content (graphics, videos, polls) tailored for NYRA Bets’ social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and drive user interaction.
    Monitor social media trends and audience engagement metrics to inform content strategy, ensuring timely and relevant posts that align with NYRA Bets’ marketing goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Education (minimum): Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in marketing,
      communications or related field
    • Experience: 2-4 years of work experience
    • Other Requirements: Experience in marketing, promotions, or communications
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Basic computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CMS platform(s) required and willingness to
      learn new programs. Excels at written communication and willing to develop copywriting and
      editing skills. Knowledge of HTML, website content editors, marketing ESPs and Optimove
      preferred but not required. Horse racing or sports knowledge or interest is preferred but not
      required

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

The Digital Marketing Specialist role is primarily office-based and computer-intensive, requiring extended periods of sitting and regular use of hands for typing, mouse operation, and other digital tasks. The position may involve occasional movement within the office to collaborate with team members or attend meetings and to walk around the track from time to time. The work environment is typically fast-paced, deadline-driven, and performed in a standard professional office or remote setting with minimal physical exertion.

Pay Range / Salary: $25.65 -38.45
