Title: Production Assistant Intern

Employee Status: Temporary Full Time

Job Overview:

Assist with the daily production of NYRA TV’s broadcast content.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with the day-to-day production of NYRA TV’s broadcast content, including the live simulcast show, all shows for regional sports networks, and the web-only shows;
  • Assist with producing detailed schedules and rundowns for all NYRA TV broadcast content
  • Assist with production of video and graphic elements to air in show.
  • Assist broadcast talent with needs during and before shows, such as making sure they have the appropriate paperwork and preview links to videos being used in show.
  • Work closely with producers, directors, editors and production assistant to assist their needs.
  • Participate in daily production meetings.
  • Occasionally acting as a stage-hand for broadcast talent on set and in a reporter setting.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Education (minimum): High-school graduate or equivalent
    • Experience: 1 year in broadcasting or horse racing
  • Knowledge Required:
    • Must be familiar with the equipment utilized to produce a live TV broadcast;
    • Must be able to operate a computer and mobile devices;

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Office role and required to walk outside various locations of the track, carry up to 30 lbs at times.

Pay Range / Salary:  $16.00-$18.00/hour
