Job Overview:

NYRA seeks part-time Camera Operators to provide live coverage of thoroughbred horse racing at Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course.

Essential Functions:

Camera Operator responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Building and operating various cameras for Studio, RF Handheld and LiveU systems. Shooting talent, horses and scenes throughout the day.

Qualifications:

Experience with Handheld (RF and LiveU) and Studio Cameras Ability to work a racing schedule, 4 to 5 days per week including weekends and holidays. Travel required to Saratoga Springs in May 2026 for approximately four (4) months (travel stipend provided). Proactive, team player with a desire and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

These roles involve working outside in all weather conditions and require the ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. The work is primarily at Aqueduct Racetrack and Saratoga Race Course.
