Title: NYRA Bets Players’ Club Host

Employee Status: Regular Part Time

Job Overview:

Manages and directs the overall operation of the NYRA Bets Players’ Club at Aqueduct Longshots and Belmont Park. The Host will perform a variety of roles under the Guest Services Umbrella (e.g., greeting members, providing daily seating, providing racing publications; maintaining beverage station). Investigates and resolves problems/issues for all members that arise on a daily basis.

Essential Functions:

  • Sets Monitors throughout the Players Club Room;
  • Prepares coffee station on a daily basis in Longshots Players club
  • Monitors Players’ Club Members and their guests;
  • Arranges seating chart for Players’ Club members;
  • Organizes and accounts for racing publications;
  • Distributes surface tablets to members;
  • Coordinates Special Events and Promotions as scheduled.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or GED
  • 5 Years of Guest Service and Hospitality Experience
  • Knowledge of Horse Racing Industry necessary

    • Departmental files
  • Applied:
    • Security procedures
    • Departmental files
    • NYRA policies and procedures related to admissions
    • Comply with all NYRA Reward Policies

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Primarily, sedentary in nature as this is more of an office role

Pay Range / Salary: $18.00 hourly
