Title: Account Executive, Ticket Sales

Job Overview:
As the Account Executive, Ticket Sales your goal is to help develop and maintain ticket sales and service across three venues highlighted by the Belmont Stakes and the 40-day Saratoga Race Course meet. Including season and partial ticket plans, premium hospitality and group ticket packages, dining reservations and daily seats/admissions. Sales will be facilitated by responding to incoming phone calls, emails, live chat and Web inquiries, as well as outbound efforts to generate new and incremental business. We are looking for someone with a fresh mindset that can bring new sales strategies and ideas to our fast-paced spring/summer schedule.
Essential Functions:
• Sales and service of all ticket products across three venues:
Responding to incoming phone calls, emails, and live Web chat inquiries for information on NYRA tickets and event hospitality, services offered, and pricing; Taking all relevant information to begin the ticketing and sales process;
o Meet both individual and department-based sales goals and build strong relationships with both new and existing clients. Closing the sale and coordinating ticket distribution of event tickets for the client;
o Explaining options for facilities, food service, entertainment, and amenities with the client to make their event as best as possible. Prospecting calls and sending brochures to targeted companies/individuals recorded on various leads lists;
o Proactively solicit and follow-up on sales leads;
o Executing multiple touchpoints with existing clients to continually develop business;
o Maintaining a contact database and report updates for new, existing and prospective clients daily;
o Participate in events, promotions, client entertainment and other activities as required.
o Help with set-up for events including displaying signage, preparing gates for opening, etc.
• Sells reserved seating and event hospitality tickets, on a rotational basis, to patrons who visit the racetrack.
• Provides excellent customer service relating to all aspects of the client and guest experience at NYRA to by responding to requests for information and offering assistance as requested. Provide problem solving techniques to assist all customer inquiries and concerns.
• Manage daily activity through the use of Ticketmaster Archtics system.
• May perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education (minimum): Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: 2-3 years of sports team sales, general business sales, or sports management is preferred
Other Requirements:
• Excellent oral, written communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient computer skills including experience with (Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook) as well as the ability to learn and master new software programs including NYRA’s CRM and ticketing system.
• Ability to function in fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
• Driver’s license, ability to travel to Saratoga in the Summer. Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends.
