Title: Account Executive, Corporate Sponsorships

Employee Status: Regular Full Time

Work From Home Option: Hybrid - 2 Days/Week (40% Remote)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Overview:

The Account Executive, Corporate Sponsorships negotiates and executes corporate partnerships with a primary focus on new business development. This role meets directly with new partner prospects on a regular basis in order to increase overall sales and investment opportunities for NYRA facilities including the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, the new Belmont Park, Saratoga Race Course, and Aqueduct Racetrack. This position sells integrated corporate partnerships that include intellectual property rights, entitlements, promotions, media, signage, hospitality/suites, and other assets.

Essential Functions:

  • Generates new sponsorship revenue from local, regional, and national brands.
  • Achieves individual sales goals and assist department in achieving annual revenue targets.
  • Develops and leads strategic, custom marketing plans with partner objectives and priorities at the forefront aimed to maximize brand value.
  • Maintains a robust pipeline through qualified leads and cold calls with potential partner opportunities.
  • Builds and enhances existing client relationships and work with fulfillment team to ensure client success.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education (minimum): Bachelor's Degree
Experience:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Power Point & Word
  • Experience using prospecting sales resources (LinkedIn, Sponsorunited, ZoomInfo etc.)

  • Demonstrates ability to effectively build a network of contacts at all levels within the industry and in the community, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to evaluate information to determine how it should be best interpreted.
  • Ability to lead meetings in which stakeholders come together to focus ideas in a single direction.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and competently to all types of audiences within a variety of delivery methods.
  • Ability to achieve planned objectives through completing relevant tasks and focus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, while balancing and prioritizing multiple or competing tasks.

    Note: this job requires an individual who can relocate to Saratoga Springs, NY for the summer racing season (mid-July to Labor Day). A travel stipend is provided for this purpose. 

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This is primarily a desk job with no special physical requirements.

Pay Range / Salary: $29 - $31 per hour plus commission.
