Title: Director of Marketing, NYRA Bets

Job Overview:
The Director of Marketing, NYRA Bets will be the architect and implementer of a comprehensive strategic marketing plan that supports the overall brand strategy. Key areas of focus include expansion of the brand, customer acquisition and retention, market growth, communications, and sales of NYRA Bets-related assets. The Director of Marketing will also work with IT and Operations to drive the vision and development of new digital products, supported by analysis and reporting on customer and business performance.
Areas within a classic marketing mix will include but are not limited to digital, SEM, TV, social, radio, SEO, email, on-track events, out of home (OOH), print, affiliates and customer experiential.

Essential Functions:
• Responsible for day-to-day NYRA Bets customer acquisition, including developing marketing plans/budgets with an outside ad agency as well as endemic partners and in-house resources and adhering to budgets and registration goals.
• Create and deliver programs and events that extend the NYRA Bets brand and meet strategic objectives.
• Establish and lead the implementation of marketing strategies to increase revenue, profit, and other agreed-to objectives.
• Develop retention segmentation strategies to be executed in the Optimove platform in a multi-channel approach to increase customer loyalty, handle and activation rates.
• Oversea the retention promotions calendar to ensure budget is allocated toward promotions with high engagement and high revenue.
• Develop and manage the annual budget for the NYRA Bets Marketing Department and ensure vendor payments are processed and coincide with budget.
• Work closely with the NYRA general marketing team to ensure that the NYRA Bets brand messaging remains consistent and that all shared assets are being properly utilized.
• Responsible for developing on-air marketing promos and commercial spots with TV department and production to promote NYRA Bets in the year-around programing on FOX Sports.
• Planning and overseeing all advertising programs for all mediums including social media efforts on X and YouTube.
• Determine vendor affiliations and negotiate contract terms and conditions. Serving as liaison with outside agencies.
• Overseeing and evaluating market research and adjusting marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or marketing.
Experience: A minimum of 8+ years marketing experience with a predominant focus on highly effective branding and marketing strategies. Must be able to create effective marketing campaigns that can be incorporated into multiple media channels including: digital, mobile, social, print and live sports television.
Knowledge and understanding of existing and emerging technology. Social media expertise a prerequisite. Knowledge and use of digital solutions including: GA4, Optimove, Tableau and a plus. Ability to write and develop impactful presentations.
Other: Previous experience within online gaming/wagering, fantasy sports or sportsbook related industry/line of business. Interest and/or knowledge in horseracing a plus.
