Title: Bet Squad Liaison

Employee Status: Regular Full Time

Work From Home Option: Hybrid - 2 Days/Week (40% Remote)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Overview:

Support NYRA Bets, the NYRA online betting site, and betting education on-track through face-to-face customer service with the Saratoga fans.

Essential Functions:

NYRA Bets responsibilities:
o Aiding customers on how to sign up for a NYRA Bets account. Create and maintain all wagering accounts. Identify financial, fraud or risk that an account may present
o Assisting customers by printing NYRA Bets betting cards, resetting passwords and PIN for accounts
o Helping customers with deposit methods and other general NYRA Bets questions
o Helping customers download mobile app/trouble shooting technical issues
o Generate reports as needed
o Process a variety of financial transactions
o Maintain digital and physical files.
o Handle customer inquiries including customer disputes and cancelling of wagers
o Assist customers on live chat and email
o Report on hardware and software issues to the ServiceDesk
o Provide support to our partners, customers and vendors
o Other duties as requested
o Point of contact between the manager and the employees in Saratoga
o General betting education:
o Teaching customers how to read a program, the different types of bets and how to make bets (either with a mutuel clerk or through NYRA Bets).

Qualifications:

• High school Degree or Technical Certification
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a customer service contact center or a customer service position
• Superior organizational skills
• A self-motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented, and energetic personality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Strong computer proficiency including word and excel
• Must be available to work on site during the live racing at Saratoga.

Knowledge Required:
• Skills:
o Good customer service orientation
o Basic computer skills
o Betting/NYRA Bets experience

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

A lot of walking and talking

Pay Range / Salary:  $22.00 - $25.00
